Description: Jaya is afro-indigenous brazilian woman from Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in Advertising and Publicity and Cultural Production. Singer, Dancer and Holistic Therapist. Began studies in dance at 11 years old. In 1988 she studied in the Mona N'Zambi Co. African Dance and became a member, where remained for two years. In 1999 began studies the Middle East dance and had her first contact with the Tribal dance in 2007. Continues her studies and research on tribal with a focus on American Tribal Style (ATS / ITS), tribal fusion, dances nomads and brazilian folk.As a holistic therapist and dancer is dedicated to developing a playful work involving dance and self-knowledge especially for women.
